Cell Death and Division Research Journal Club
I am pleased to announce that the Cell Death and Division Research Journal Club will resume its biweekly meeting this Spring semester. This interdepartmental research focus group will meet, as it has in the past, on alternate Tuesdays at noon in the Microbiology and Immunology Department Library for lively and vigorous discussion of topical issues pertaining to cell death and/or the cell cycle. There will be one exception to this schedule. This semester, we are pleased to have a special seminar by Ellen Rothenberg, from CalTech, on March 31.
The dates and speakers for our Spring meetings are:
March 2 - R. Brooks Robey (Medicine and Physiology)
March 16 - Amy Kenter (Microbiology and Immunology)
March 31 - Ellen Rothenberg (CalTech; note special Wednesday meeting)
April 13 - Amelia Bartholomew (Transplant Surgery)
April 27 - Guy Adami (Oral Medicine)
May 11 - Oscar Colamonici (Pharmacology)
May 25 - Buck Hales (Physiology)
Announcements of specific meetings, including speakers and papers to be presented, will be circulated by email and flyer; papers to be discussed will again be distributed by attachment. I will appreciate your help in circulating this announcement to laboratory members and other colleagues who might also be interested. In order to receive Cell Death and Division postings, send the command “Subscribe Deathclub <yourname>” to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.UIC.EDU.
I look forward to seeing you on March 2!
