DMITRI KRYSKO, head of the Cell Death Investigation and Therapy laboratory at Ghent University, was a charming young man, a brilliant scientist, and an always proactive and helpful individual who was primarily responsible for organizing our highly successful meeting in Ghent in 2024. We will soon post a more detailed tribute to him. Just before he died, he posted this optimistic and grateful comment on LinkedIn about his trip to Australia , where he died. The tone was typical for him. In the meantime, as society officers and individuals, we miss him and offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
